Period Clothing and Accessory Kits
We are now offering some kits for making certain items from our patterns. We
hope that offering correct fabrics and notions will help our customers make
better reproductions. Some of the fabrics are difficult to find, so this is a
service we hope you will enjoy!

This is a kit
for making the suspenders, or "braces", for which the pattern
is given in our high waisted trousers pattern KK-4303.
The kit contains:
- 4 feet of strapping (1-1/4" wide)
- Pre-cut linen tabs for the
adjustable buckle end and the rear button end of the strapping
brass suspender buckles
Required but not included:
- 4 buttons 3/4” or 7/8” diameter bone buttons or button molds
(to cover with fabric matching trousers) to sew to trousers.
Strapping is approximately 1-1/4" wide, and the colors and patterns
vary. The price of the kit varies, depending on the strapping selected.
Linen color and weight varies.
The style and construction of these suspenders or braces is inspired
the specifications in an 1812 French Imperial decree.
