Family Journal Sheets 
"Ill. Familie-Journal"

This Danish journal printed toy theater sheets within their publication from 1914 to 1941. The sheets could be removed and used to produce plays - a family activity especially appreciated during hard war times. The backdrops and wings have been enlarged and reprinted in a scale for Large size theaters (Alfred Jacobsen size C).

The Family Journal's 1923 proscenium was designed after a real theater named "Alhambra" in Copenhagen, Denmark. The proscenium arch (opening) is approximately 7 inches high by 10 inches wide.
(Note: This proscenium has NOT been enlarged and is not in the same scale as these backdrop or wing sheets, and they will not work together. This proscenium is more in the scale of our small theaters.)
